Medical Laboratory Technician As an essential member of the laboratory team, the Medical Laboratory Technician performs routine laboratory testing and procedures in accordance with established protocols and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while receiving technical guidance and supervision as needed. Responsibilities include the accurate processing of biological specimens from collection and initial handling through testing and result reporting across multiple laboratory disciplines. The Medical Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of laboratory results that support patient diagnosis and treatment. This position serves patients of all ages and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and a dedication to organizational service values when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues. Schedule Details:
Full-time | 72 hours every two weeks Day shift position Shifts between 7am – 5:30pm On-site position at CentraCare Becker Clinic Position may be required to travel to other CentraCare locations
Pay and Benefits:
Starting pay $25.20 per hour, exact wage determined by years of related experience Salary range: $25.20-37.81 Full-time benefit-eligible | Benefits Guide Tuition reimbursement and college grant programs available
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT)/Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Program or other qualifications as outlined by CLIA regulation, section 493.1489 for employees hired before September 1, 1997 required New Graduate's degree must be validated within 2 months post-graduation BOC certified or exam completed within 6-months of hire with verification within six weeks of exam required At least 1 years recent experience in a clinical laboratory preferred Good computer knowledge and input skills Transportation available for off campus laboratory related activities may be required A valid driver's license, a driving record in good standing, and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage may be required
