Position Overview Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking for an IT Specialist to join our Corporate IT team. In this role, you will support day-to-day IT operations, end‑user technology needs, hardware and software troubleshooting, account support, conference room technology, and general infrastructure support across the organization.
This is a fully in‑office position based out of our Columbia, MD headquarters. This role will also be expected to travel regularly to our warehouse facility in Stevensville, MD, approximately two times per week. Stevensville is roughly 45 minutes from Columbia, and this travel is a core part of the position.
This position is ideal for someone who is hands‑on, customer‑service focused, and comfortable supporting a wide range of technical needs in a fast‑paced environment. The IT Specialist will work closely with internal users, assist with onboarding and offboarding, troubleshoot workstation and application issues, support office technology, and help maintain reliable IT operations across both office and warehouse environments.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical users, and is willing to learn and grow across multiple areas of IT.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for employees, including workstation, laptop, printer, mobile device, software, and peripheral troubleshooting.
Provide regular on‑site IT support for the Stevensville, MD warehouse facility approximately two times per week.
Assist with new hire onboarding, equipment setup, account provisioning, access requests, and user orientation.
Support offboarding activities including account disablement, equipment collection, and access removal.
Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other business applications.
Assist with user account management, group memberships, permissions, and basic Active Directory / Entra ID administration.
Image, configure, deploy, and maintain company laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and related equipment.
Support warehouse technology needs, including workstations, printers, network connectivity, mobile devices, and other operational systems.
Support conference room technology, AV equipment, displays, cameras, microphones, and meeting platforms.
Respond to helpdesk tickets, document work performed, and escalate issues when appropriate.
Assist with inventory tracking, asset management, equipment lifecycle support, and procurement coordination.
Support basic network troubleshooting including Wi‑Fi, wired connectivity, VPN access, and printer connectivity.
Maintain clear technical documentation, user guides, and internal support procedures.
Help enforce IT security policies, endpoint standards, and access control procedures.
Perform other IT support tasks as business needs evolve.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
1‑3 years of professional IT support, helpdesk, desktop support, or technical support experience.
Ability to work fully in‑office from the Columbia, MD headquarters.
Ability to travel regularly to the Stevensville, MD warehouse facility approximately two times per week.
Reliable transportation for local travel between company locations.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to support users with varying levels of technical experience.
Hands‑on experience troubleshooting Windows laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals, and common business applications.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and basic user account support.
Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and general connectivity troubleshooting.
Ability to follow documented procedures and contribute to process improvement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple support requests, prioritize tasks, and follow through to completion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting warehouse, lab, manufacturing, logistics, or operational technology environments.
Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, or endpoint management tools.
Experience supporting conference room AV technology, Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT asset management processes.
Basic experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools.
Experience working in a government contractor, Federal, DoD, cybersecurity, or professional services environment.
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or other relevant IT certifications.
Familiarity with endpoint security tools, patching, device compliance, and standard IT security practices.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.
