Transfers and positions patients Performs Ultrasound procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician Demonstrates knowledge of Ultrasound protocols for Section and the ability to accurately apply principles to work. Keeps current on changes/new techniques, etc./ in ultrasound sonography Interviews patients for pertinent medical history and obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infection control practices as appropriate Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area and assures that rooms are stocked with necessary supplies. Orders and maintains supplies at an acceptable level
