Job Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations on patients from diverse age groups utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans to address immediate goals and long-lasting communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to curate integrated care strategies. Educate patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions to maintain a seamless continuity of care. Ensure timely and accurate documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational requirements. Keep abreast of advancements in therapy techniques through continuing education and collaboration with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not already ASHA certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment. Desired Skills
