Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,820 - $4,100
Location: Walla Walla, WA 99362 - Walla Walla nurse practitioner jobs, Washington healthcare jobs; vibrant downtown, renowned wineries, outdoor recreation.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (weekday surgical NP position)
Shift Duration: 8-hour days
Assignment Dates: August 31, 2026 - December 31, 2026
Setting: Inpatient, clinical hours only (no call, no weekends) - ideal for work-life balance in locum tenens NP jobs in Washington
Patient Encounters: Approximately 7 per shift
Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a first assist in general surgery (surgical NP / first assist experience required)
Active Nurse Practitioner license in state or IMLC eligibility (NP license required)
Board Certification required
DEA license required
Current CV / resume must be submitted
Ability to complete credentialing within 90 days
Responsibilities Serve as first assist in the operating room for general surgery cases (surgical first assist duties)
Provide perioperative and postoperative patient care, including rounds and patient assessments
Coordinate multidisciplinary care and communicate with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary services
Prepare discharges, manage clinical documentation, and ensure accurate charting of surgical encounters
Support quality and patient safety initiatives in the inpatient surgical unit
