Requirements:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist Ability to perform duties within the context of moderate to high acuity surgical cases Knowledge of anatomy, equipment, and instrumentation relevant to surgical procedures
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist the healthcare team in providing safe, age-appropriate, and culturally aware patient care. Prepare the operative suite and surgical field to ensure a safe patient care environment, maintaining a sterile field. Gather required instruments and supplies, serving as a surgical assistant as needed. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other members of the healthcare team, including additional supplies or equipment required for procedures. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and mentor or precept others as needed. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and assist with inventory, ordering, and stocking as assigned.
