Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests, and devising personalized treatment strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions in partnership with physicians or independently based on your qualifications Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and effective management of diseases Prescribing medications and treatments within your scope of practice Participating in follow-up care and chronic disease management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated care Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Licenses and Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or the ability to obtain these within 90 days Skills That Will Elevate You
