Speech Therapist Position As a Speech Therapist based in Queen City Cincinnati, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. Your work will directly impact the quality of life for clients by helping them improve their articulation, fluency, and overall communication abilities. You will collaborate closely with clients, families, and other healthcare or educational professionals to develop personalized therapy plans tailored to each individual's unique needs. Ultimately, your efforts will empower clients to communicate more effectively, enhancing their social, academic, and professional interactions. Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on articulation and other speech therapy goals. Provide direct therapy sessions to clients of varying ages, utilizing evidence-based techniques. Monitor client progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare providers to support client development and generalization of skills. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and client progress. Stay current with advances in speech therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Speech Therapist in Ohio. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in articulation therapy and speech disorder treatment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with pediatric and adult populations in clinical or educational settings. Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and techniques. Additional certifications or training in specialized therapy approaches such as PROMPT or Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT). Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse cultural and linguistic populations. Experience with telepractice or remote speech therapy delivery methods.
