The Specialty Dietitian? will manage the nutrition care of critically ill patients, including those requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
As a "Specialty Dietitian" you will:
Serve as a clinical nutrition expert, providing guidance and support to physicians, staff, and patient families to ensure optimal nutritional outcomes.
Provide expert nutrition care for critically ill patients, including the management of artificial nutrition support
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams through participation in patient rounds and performance improvement initiatives
Serve as a resource for nutrition support education to medical staff, patients, and families
Integrate clinical data from various disciplines to create comprehensive, individualized nutrition plans
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions and documentation
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition from an accredited institution
Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) through NBNSC
Active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Licensed or in the process of obtaining licensure in the state of Maryland (including 15 CE hours annually)
Minimum 1 year of experience in nutrition support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across care teams
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Pay rate: $32.12 - $48.18 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location. Position Highlights and Benefits:
