Description
Experienced Veterinary Technician Quarry Ridge Animal Hospital – Ridgefield, CT Let’s cut to the chase: if you’re an experienced veterinary technician who loves what you do, thrives on teamwork, and appreciates a practice where people actually enjoy coming to work…you might want to keep reading. At Quarry Ridge Animal Hospital, we take our medicine seriously—but not ourselves. We’re a well-established practice in beautiful Ridgefield, CT, with a team that genuinely supports each other, communicates well, and shows up ready to make a difference for our patients and clients every day. What makes us a great place to work?
A team that actually has each other’s backs. No drama, no cliques—just experienced, capable people who step in to help without being asked and celebrate each other’s wins (big and small).
Tenured staff who stick around for a reason. We’ve built something special here, and it shows in the longevity of our team. When people come, they tend to stay—and that says a lot.
You’ll be trusted to use your skills. We don’t hire great technicians just to hold them back. You’ll be empowered to fully utilize your training, think critically, and make an impact every single day.
Support where it counts. Whether it’s having enough hands on deck during a busy shift or leadership that actually listens, we make sure you’re set up to succeed—not stretched thin.
Good medicine, without the chaos. We’re proud of the level of care we provide, and we do it in a way that’s organized, efficient, and sustainable.
A culture that feels…human. We laugh a lot, communicate openly, and respect that everyone has a life outside the hospital. It’s a place where you can show up as yourself and enjoy the work you do.
What you’ll be doing (aka where you shine):
Assisting doctors with exams, procedures, and surgeries
Providing top-notch patient care and client education
Playing with puppies and kittens all day ;)
Handling anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and lab work
Keeping things running smoothly (because let’s be honest—you’re the glue)
What we’re looking for:
An experienced veterinary technician (CVT/LVT preferred, but experience matters most)
Someone confident in their technical skills and eager to keep learning
A team player who communicates well and brings good energy
A human who likes animals and people (we know, rare combo sometimes)
The benefits (because they matter):
Medical, dental, and vision insurance options (effective the first of the month after start)
401(k) (eligible after 6 months)
Company-sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Employee pet care discount
Referral bonus opportunities
Ridgefield itself? Think charming New England vibes, great restaurants, and just enough distance from the chaos to breathe a little. If you’re looking for a place where you can do great work and enjoy the people you work with, Quarry Ridge might be exactly what you’ve been missing.
