Description
Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using a blend of standardized assessments and observational skills. Create individualized treatment plans tailored to short and long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing needs. Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, fluency, voice control, and swallowing. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to achieve cohesive patient care. Provide education for patients and families to foster ongoing progress outside clinic walls. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments to ensure seamless care throughout treatment. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with all regulatory standards. Engage in continuing education and collaboration with peers to stay at the forefront of the profession. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based intervention practices for diverse age groups, with an in-depth knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
