Position Details: MRI Technologist- Morristown, VT Location : Morristown, VT 05661 Duration : 13 Weeks Contract (Possible Temp to Hire) Salary Range : $60- $66/hr Shift Timing : 3x12-hour shifts weekly on day shift (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).Position Purpose The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. This role involves preparing and positioning patients, explaining imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining compliance with imaging protocols and safety standards. The MRI Technologist works closely with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to deliver accurate and timely imaging services while maintaining compassionate patient care. Key Responsibilities
Operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images according to physician orders and departmental protocols. Explain MRI procedures to patients and answer questions to help reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation. Position and immobilize patients correctly to obtain accurate imaging results. Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or emergencies. Review and evaluate MRI images for quality, clarity, and diagnostic usefulness. Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards and infection control guidelines. Utilize safety measures and protective devices to safeguard patients, staff, and equipment. Accurately document patient information, imaging procedures, and results within the EMR system. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support quality patient care. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of MRI equipment and imaging rooms.
Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred. ARRT certification in Radiography required; MRI certification preferred or eligible. BLS certification required. Minimum Years of Experience: Less than 1 year. Experience with CPSI/Evident EMR preferred. Strong communication, patient care, and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
