This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, healthcare needs, and community integration while ensuring their safety, dignity, and quality of life./ppAvailable shifts:/pulliDay shift: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM/liliEvening shift: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM/liliOvernight shift: 12:00 AM 8:00 AM/li/ulpWho should apply?/ppThis position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in healthcare, including:/pulliLPN or RN students looking for direct patient care experience/liliMedical Assistant students or Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) seeking to expand their skills/liliIndividuals with experience in nursing homes, home healthcare, or assisted living facilities/liliAnyone passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and improving their quality of life/li/ulpEssential responsibilities:/pulliPersonal care support/liulliAssist individuals with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, transfers, and mobility support./liliAdminister routine morning wake-up and nighttime hygiene care./liliProvide perineal care and assistance with showers./liliOffer mouth, skin, hair, and nail care./liliAssist individuals in using adaptive devices for ADLs./li/ulliHealth medical assistance/liulliMonitor health conditions and assist with medication per policy./liliSupport with medical treatments, including tracheostomy care, feeding tubes, and oxygen therapy./liliParticipate in turning and repositioning routines and other skin care prevention protocols./liliInspect skin regularly and report any issues to the RN./liliUse pressure-relieving devices under the direction of an RN./li/ulliMeals/liulliPrepare individuals for meals and provide hygiene before and after./liliFeed or assist with feeding as needed./liliProvide fresh drinking water regularly./liliAccurately record intake and output, as well as totals, by the end of the shift./li/ulliElimination needs/liulliAssist with toileting and hygiene after use./liliMeasure and record urine output and other elimination accurately./liliDocument elimination totals at end of shift./li/ulliSafety/liulliProvide assistance and periodic observation to prevent falls./liliImmediately report unsafe conditions./liliAdhere to established policies and procedures regarding the use of restraints./liliPerform assigned equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly./liliParticipate in routine safety checks, toileting, turning, and repositioning./li/ulliEmotional behavioral support/liulliImplement behavior support plans and provide companionship./li/ulliHousehold safety management/liulliMaintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment./liliPrepare meals tailored to individual dietary needs./liliFollow infection control procedures./li/ulliCommunity engagement skill development/liulliSupport participation in social, recreational, and skill-building activities./li/ulliDocumentation compliance/liulliMaintain accurate records of daily care in Therap./liliAdhere to ICF/IDD regulations and HIPAA guidelines./li/ulliCustomer service/liulliDemonstrate tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity with individuals, families, and staff./liliMaintain confidentiality and professionalism./liliUse clear, concise verbal communication./liliKeep open communication with peers and escalate concerns to supervisors as needed./li/ul/ulpQualifications requirements:/pulliEducation: A high school diploma or GED is required (CNA, DSP, or healthcare-related training preferred)./liliExperience: Previous experience in healthcare, ICF/IDD, nursing homes, or group home settings preferred./liliPhysical requirements: Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods./li/ulpRequired certifications:/pulliCPR First Aid (Required)/liliObtaining and maintaining a TME or CMT Certification/liliCrisis Prevention Training (Preferred)/liliFood Handler (Preferred)/li/ulpAdditional requirements:/pulliProof of COVID-19 vaccination/liliValid drivers license/liliCurrent physical TB/PPD exam/liliConsent to a comprehensive statewide and national criminal background investigation/liulliIndividuals with a criminal background must provide proof of adjudication or completion of their sentences./liliClear and convincing evidence of rehabilitation must be provided to Innovative Life Solutions./li/ulliConsent to and pass a review of the Department of Motor Vehicles record/liliSubject to random drug testing/liulliRefusal to take a requested drug test will be grounds for dismissal./li/ul/ulpBenefits:/pulli$750 sign-on bonus for new hires/liliFlexible scheduling choose from day, evening, or overnight shifts/liliCareer growth opportunities gain valuable healthcare experience for future career advancement/liliMeaningful work directly impact the lives of individuals with disabilities in a supportive environment/liliCollaborative team environment work with licensed healthcare, i.e., LPNs and RNs dedicated to high-quality care/li/ul/div
