REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: A current and valid Texas RN nursing license or a current and valid RN license from a Compact Party State. The RN may continue to practice under the former home state license and multistate licensure privilege during the processing of the nurse's licensure application in the new home state for a period not to exceed thirty days. Familiar with Reimbursement system of Medicare, Medicaid & Case Management Preferred Skilled Nursing Facility Experience as an MDS Nurse CMAC certification or completion within 30 days of hire and renewal every 2 years MDS coordinator must maintain current with the training (renewal every 2 years). Knowledge of state and federal regulations, both clinical and financial as it relates to the RAI process and reimbursement systems Knowledge of the clinical software billing system and the MDS process. Proficient in the use of computer systems (WORD, Excel, EHR system, etc.) Required Experience
REQUIRED EDUCATION: A current and valid Texas RN nursing license or a current and valid RN license from a Compact Party State. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required prior to performing work, preferably from American Heart Association (AHA), or have the ability to obtain certification within thirty (30) days of employment. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands and work environment described herein is a representative of those that generally must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: * This position primarily involves standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing and pulling (typical weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 15 lbs., approximately), and lifting (minimum weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 25 lbs., approximately). * The position requires repetitive finger movements as well as hearing and talking on the phone and in person. * Must be able to continuously deal effectively with stress created by residents, multiple tasks, noises, interruptions, and work cooperatively as part of the health care team while maintaining a pleasant attitude.
