Pharmacy Technician Capital Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced, full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The primary purpose of this clinical position is to serve as a key member of the team, providing essential support for patient care, administrative functions, and quality assurance. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Triage tasks (refills, issues, drug info) and make referrals. Outreach, follow-up calls, and respond to patient messages. Ensure timely task resolution, escalate urgent issues. Collect and track patient data (e.g., weight, adherence). Initiate medication reconciliation when needed. Assist with insurance formulary info, appeals, and prior authorizations. Help patients access affordable medications and complete assistance forms. Prepare patient education materials and conduct screenings as needed. Monitor voicemail and coordinate team tasks. Schedule appointments and print medication lists weekly. Assist with SOP development and revision. Support quality assurance efforts (data review and improvement). Document patient info in medical records as per policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Ability to organize and triage patient-reported problems and make appropriate referrals Familiarity with pharmacy claims processing and insurance navigation Ability to contribute to team atmosphere Possesses effective communication skills in person, over the phone and in writing Displays a positive and professional attitude when interacting with health care providers and patients Excellent organization and time management skills Strict attention to detail High School diploma or GED equivalent certification 3-5 years of experience in pharmacy settings Certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) preferred NYS Licensed "Registered Pharmacy Technician" preferred

Compensation: $20.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
