Role Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized tools and observational methods. Craft tailored treatment plans that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Engage in collaborative care with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated treatment strategies. Provide valuable education to patients and their families to foster progress during and beyond therapy sessions. Occasionally facilitate inpatient evaluations and treatments to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout patients' recovery journeys. Maintain precise, timely documentation in accordance with all regulatory guidelines and best practices. Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and teamwork. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification. Licenses and Certifications
Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Desired Skills
