Role Responsibilities
Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized evaluation methods and observational strategies. Create tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy directly addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Cooperate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches. Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond clinical visits. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure continuity in patient care throughout their treatment path. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in alignment with applicable state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaborative efforts with peers. Educational Background
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet accredited by ASHA. Required Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Essential Skills
