Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using various assessment tools and observational methods. Create customized treatment plans aimed at both immediate and long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting areas of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, caregivers, and family members to ensure an integrated approach to care. Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to support therapeutic progress outside the clinical environment. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation as per state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and peer collaboration. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Required Skills
