R&D Technician A leading electronics testing company is seeking an R&D Technician to support oscilloscope calibration, hardware/software support, equipment maintenance, and validation activities. This role will collaborate closely with R&D, technical support, marketing, and NPI teams to ensure testing equipment and systems remain operational in a fast-paced engineering environment. R&D Technician Responsibilities:
Perform oscilloscope calibration activities across the company's active product families, including software installation/reinstallation and hardware service coordination. Support oscilloscope application validation, issue tracking/submission, and troubleshooting activities to identify technical problems and coordinate repairs with local technical teams. Maintain operational readiness of laboratory and support equipment, including SSD imaging and hardware preparation for instrumentation systems. Assist with electronic and electromechanical assembly activities, including the use of torque drivers and related manufacturing support tasks within an ESD-controlled environment. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, technical support, and NPI teams while documenting issues, prioritizing technical tasks, and delivering results under schedule pressure.
R&D Technician Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, NPI, or related technical environments. Higher-level education or certifications in electronics are preferred. Experience with electronic mechanical assembly and use of torque drivers. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related tools. Ability to work in an Electrical Static Discharge (ESD) controlled environment. Experience using electronic test equipment, specifically oscilloscopes and probes, is preferred.
