Caregiver

Comfort Keepers is looking for a caregiver to join our in home care team in Tacoma, WA. At Comfort Keepers, we provide uplifting in home care for seniors and other adults who require personal care, companion care, and day-to-day assistance in their homes. As a caregiver, you will have the opportunity to deliver one-on-one care that enhances quality of life and brings hope and joy to clients and their families.

To work as a Comfort Keeper, you will do many things to help people who need extra care in their homes. This includes:

• Doing things they need help with every day, like bathing and getting dressed
• Keeping the house clean and making meals
• Doing other things needed to keep the person healthy, safe, and happy

This job requires you to do some physical tasks on a regular basis, like driving, helping people move around, and cleaning. You will need to stand, sit, walk, reach, and kneel. You might also need to lift items that weigh up to 25 pounds.

Caregiver requirements include:

• A CNA or HCA
• A high school diploma or GED
• A safe car, a driver's license and car insurance
• A food handler's card and a certificate for First Aid and CPR
• A good attitude towards helping others
• The ability to follow instructions and keep records of your work
• The ability to follow rules for protecting people's privacy
