Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: One year of healthcare experience Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Completion of the SGNA GI Associates Program to be recognized as a GI Technical Specialist (GTS) within 1 month of hire. Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines within 2 weeks of hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good verbal communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Have human relations skills to work as part of a team by demonstrating, but not limited to: the ability to maintain patience, use of mature judgment, sound reasoning skills, courteous behavior.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: One year of experience with equipment cleaning and reprocessing or as an Endoscopy Technician. Possess one or more of the below qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech, Endoscopy tech, or Instrument Tech(sterile processing) program. EC tech. EMT. Scribe. Associates degree or higher. CMA. LPN. Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Certification as a Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Anatomy and physiology. Medical Terminology. Infection Control.
