Support and coordinate the daily activities of Central Monitor Technicians to ensure timely and accurate telemetry monitoring. Serve as a clinical resource for rhythm interpretation, protocol adherence, and telemetry best practices. Collaborate with the CMU Nurse Educator to help provide training and reinforce department policies and procedures. Support smooth transitions between shifts to maintain continuity of patient monitoring. Participate in daily team huddles and contribute to unit-based initiatives. Act as a communication link between the CMU and inpatient clinical staff, promoting timely updates and coordination. Assist in reviewing staffing assignments and making adjustments as needed. Contribute to quality improvement efforts related to telemetry and monitoring workflows. Assist with coaching and guiding staff in real-time situations, promoting best practices and a supportive team environment. Demonstrate commitment to Hartford HealthCare's mission and values in daily practice.
Qualifications:
BSN required; MSN preferred. One degree must be in Nursing. Candidates actively pursuing a BSN or MSN may be considered, with continued progress toward degree completion expected within five years. Minimum one year of nursing experience, including telemetry experience. Current CT RN license required. Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) or equivalent preferred. Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Comfort with using clinical systems, telemetry technology, and escalation protocols.
