Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing well-established assessment methodologies and observational insights. Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives while addressing long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing concerns. Provide individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language articulation, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure synchronized care plans. Deliver educational resources and guidance to patients and families, empowering them to continue progress beyond our sessions. Engage in assessments and therapy for occasional inpatient needs, ensuring seamless care during the patient journey. Maintain thorough and precise documentation compliant with regulations and organizational standards. Pursue continuing education and engage with peers to remain abreast of the latest developments in the field. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet holding ASHA certification. Licenses
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. BLS certification is required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
