Assess and evaluate a varied population, including pediatric, adult, and senior patients, through standardized testing and observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans tailored to suit both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focusing on diverse aspects such as communication, language fluency, and swallowing difficulties. Partner seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies. Provide education to patients and families, enhancing progress beyond therapy sessions. Contribute to occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care. Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in accordance with all applicable guidelines. Commit to professional growth by keeping abreast of advancements in the field through continued education and collaboration with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
