Assess clients from pediatric to adult and geriatric demographics through both standardized tools and observational methods. Create tailored therapy plans that revolve around achievable short-term milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy that hones in on facets such as speech clarity, language comprehension, fluency, vocal modulation, and swallowing capabilities. Engage collaboratively with a dynamic team of healthcare providers, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to devise comprehensive care strategies. Provide crucial educational resources to patients and their families to support therapy progression in everyday settings. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, contributing to seamless continuity in patient care. Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation that conforms with state regulations and organizational protocols. Commit to ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if ASHA certification is still pending. Certifications
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
