Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric groups using both standardized assessments and observational evaluations. Craft tailored treatment plans that meet immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver focused, individualized speech therapy that enhances skills in communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, which includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure holistic care strategies. Educate patients and their families, guiding them to support progress beyond clinical sessions. Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining continuity of care throughout the treatment path. Ensure all documentation is accurate and timely, adhering to state and federal regulations as well as organizational standards. Keep abreast of innovations in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age groups, possessing a robust understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
