Reports to: Lead Content Producer
Salary Range: $57,000 – $65,000 (determined based on experience and compliant with all applicable wage laws)
Location: Remote
Bargaining Unit: Yes (fees may apply depending on residence)
Position Summary: The Content Producer is responsible for creating high‑quality video and graphic assets that showcase the Center’s work to protect endangered species, wild places, and public lands. The role aims to increase membership and donations by delivering compelling content across web, social media, email, and occasional print. The Content Producer shapes the tone, messaging, and visual aesthetic of paid ads, landing pages, lightboxes, postcards, direct‑mail collateral, and more.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing online fundraising campaigns to grow donor acquisition, sustainer growth, renewals, and upgrades.
Collaborate with the Lead Content Producer and Senior Online Membership Associate to set creative and strategic direction for acquisition and fundraising initiatives.
Produce videos, graphics, and copy for digital ads, landing pages, lightboxes, and other web properties; create postcards, invites, and fundraising letters.
Analyze metrics across channels to assess performance and refine strategies focused on membership growth and retention.
Ensure all content is vetted, proofread, and approved by program and communications staff.
Work with the Digital team to identify and execute fundraising opportunities, including asks in EEO and action alerts.
Unify the Center’s voice and style across social platforms with the Acquisition team.
Design print collateral such as quarterly newsletters, event postcard invitations, annual reports, and related materials.
Assist with weekly production of landing pages for email appeals and post‑action pages.
Maintain microsites that feature the Center’s accomplishments and ongoing work.
Identify opportunities and pilot experiments using new formats to improve fundraising success.
Stay informed of Center activities, news, and conservation trends that impact media work.
Support general fundraising and development duties as assigned.
Perform additional job‑related duties as needed.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
3–5 years of experience in digital video and digital/print graphic design.
Deep knowledge of design techniques across digital, web, social, email, and print disciplines.
Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere (or equivalent software).
Ability to script, storyboard, edit, and produce audio and video content.
Experience in a fundraising or advocacy environment.
Track record of creating engaging content that deepens relationships with existing supporters and attracts new members.
Experience with digital advertising platforms.
Excellent writing skills and a talent for telling compelling, inspiring stories.
Experience reporting on campaign performance, including A/B testing.
Consistently deliver high‑quality work on time under deadlines.
Deep understanding of digital landscape and emerging trends.
Working Conditions: Traditional office setting required; occasional travel to Tucson office and other locations. Work may extend into off‑hours during rapid response or news events.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting and carrying 0–25 lbs and 25–75 lbs occasionally.
Climbing stairs, bending, squatting, and reaching overhead occasionally.
Extended periods of sitting and working on a computer with frequent typing.
Ability to drive occasionally.
Location Conditions:
In‑person requirement: rarely.
Travel: occasionally.
Night or weekend work: occasionally.
Annual remote retreat attendance encouraged (requires travel and 4–5 days away each year).
