GCP Data Engineer – AWS to GCP Migration We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer to lead a large-scale AWS to GCP cloud migration and data platform modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform, ETL/Data Engineering, and cloud migration strategies, with hands-on experience migrating data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics workloads from AWS to GCP. Key Skills:
Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, BigLake, Cloud Functions) AWS to GCP Migration (S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Kinesis) ETL/ELT Development Python, PySpark, SQL Data Warehousing & Data Modeling Batch & Real-Time Data Processing CI/CD, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute AWS-to-GCP migration projects. Design and develop scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms. Build and optimize ETL/ELT solutions for large-scale data processing. Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to drive cloud transformation initiatives. Implement data governance, security, monitoring, and cost optimization best practices.
Qualifications:
8+ years of Data Engineering experience. 4+ years of hands-on GCP experience. Proven experience with AWS-to-GCP migration projects. Strong expertise in BigQuery, Dataflow, PySpark, Python, and SQL. Experience with enterprise-scale cloud modernization programs.
Preferred:
Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification. Experience with AI/ML platforms, Lakehouse architectures, and multi-cloud environments.
