Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing customized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, ongoing, or chronic illnesses in collaboration with other healthcare providers or autonomously (as per credentialing) Teaching patients and families about prevention, health, and management of conditions Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions in line with your practice authority Engaging in follow-up and management of chronic conditions Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care Maintaining accurate documentation within electronic health record systems Essential Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licenses and Certifications Required
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure within the state of Iowa National certification for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain in the next 90 days) Qualities That Make You Shine
