About Bridgerland Technical College Bridgerland Technical College is one of Utah's eight technical colleges, serving the Bear River Region through high-quality, hands-on technical education. What You'll Do As a Part-Time Therapeutic Massage Instructor, you'll create engaging learning experiences that help students develop the knowledge, skills, and professionalism needed for success in the massage therapy field. Key responsibilities include:
Delivering classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in therapeutic massage techniques and professional practices.
Creating a safe, positive, and student-centered learning environment.
Developing and maintaining curriculum materials that align with industry standards and program outcomes.
Teaching foundational concepts such as anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, ethics, client care, and therapeutic massage modalities.
Demonstrating proper techniques, body mechanics, safety procedures, and professional conduct.
Assessing student learning through practical evaluations, assignments, and examinations.
Monitoring student attendance, progress, and skill development.
Providing mentorship, guidance, and support to help students achieve their educational and career goals.
Collaborating with faculty and staff to support program growth and student success.
Promoting professionalism and industry best practices that prepare students for employment opportunities. What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a skilled massage therapy professional who is passionate about education, wellness, and helping students succeed. Required Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least one year of related industry experience; OR
BTECH certificate and at least one year of related industry experience; OR
High school diploma (or equivalent) and four or more years of successful industry-related experience.
Additionally, candidates should possess:
Strong knowledge of therapeutic massage techniques, anatomy, physiology, and professional standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively teach and demonstrate hands-on skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
Commitment to student success and lifelong learning. Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience.
Experience working with adult learners or students in a clinical or educational setting.
Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
Knowledge of current industry trends and best practices.
