Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
You play an important role in keeping both our housekeeping and uniform operations running smoothly each day. You bring strong sewing and garment mending skills, and you use them to help repair, alter, organize, and distribute uniforms with care and attention to detail during part of your shift.
You will also support the housekeeping team in a variety of meaningful ways. You help deliver items where they're needed, inspect guest rooms to ensure they meet our standards, and assist with cleaning stayover and checkout rooms to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for every guest.
You stay organized, adaptable, and ready to jump in where help is needed. You take pride in your work, you notice the details that matter, and you contribute to a team that works together to create a clean, well-prepared, and professional environment.
Sewing and clothing repair experience is required for this role, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to support wherever needed. You enjoy working in a team and accomplishing tasks that will make other's feel cared for - and it just so happens you'll be doing just that in an award-winning hotel.
Supports both housekeeping and uniform operations on a daily basisRequires strong sewing and garment mending experience for uniform repair, alterations, organization, and distributionWork assignments vary daily based on business needs, with responsibilities shifting between uniform support and housekeeping operationsAssists with uniform-related tasks including repair, alterations, organization, and distributionSupports housekeeping operations as neededDelivers items throughout the property as requiredInspects guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are metCleans stayover and checkout rooms in alignment with hotel standardsOversees guest dry cleaning services in coordination with a partner laundry companyMaintains organization and flexibility in a fast-paced environmentSupports overall team operations and guest service standardsAssisting with special projects, such as inspecting rooms for missing itemsInspecting rooms assigned to new hiresPreparing and organizing carts for new hiresInspecting showrooms and VIP roomsResponsible for organizing laundry room area and maintaining cleanlinessContributes to a clean, well-maintained, and professional environmentFollowing all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulations.Making rollaway beds as neededReporting maintenance itemsReturning all lost and found articles to Risk ManagementFollowing all hotel and departmental policies and procedures and service standardsAny other tasks that may be assigned
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Constant standing and walking throughout the shiftConstant bending, kneeling, pushing, pullingOccasional lifting and carrying over 50 lbsOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Qualifications
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
