You understand the fine balance of service and help provide exceptional service to our customers in a timely, courteous, efficient, and accurate manner. The Barback provides assistance and support to our bartenders in all aspect of operating a smooth running and profitable bar. Our Barbacks are polite and friendly to guests, and co-workers alike, and understand the importance of maintaining Goode Company's high sanitation standards. You keep your work station clean and sanitary at all times, because you know it is a direct reflection on you.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and previous experience is preferred. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock the bar with all necessities includes condiments, straws, rags and beverage napkins, etc.Maintain full ice binds and bar cleanliness.Restock beer and help change kegs.Bus glassware and dirty plates on top of and around the bar areaMaintain cleanliness inside and outside of the bar, around the bar, and bar stools.Wash glassware and restock as needed.Help bartender maintain service well.Present a professional appearance.Run bus tubs back to the kitchen and replace them with new ones.Perform any other duties specified by manager and/or your bartenderMake margarita mix for margarita machineCutting fruit and garnishes for drinks.Maintain proper stock of juice, liquor, beer, and wine.Clears bar area of used dishes, glasses, and silverware and re-sets between customers Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred Previous experience preferred TABC/Food Handler Certification requiredMust be able to lift 50lbsExcellent communication skills, verbal and written Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
