Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the United States. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a recognized national certifying body (e.g., ANCC or AANP). Demonstrated clinical experience in allergy treatment or related fields. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Allergy and Immunology or completion of specialized training in allergy management. Experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams focused on allergy and immunology. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms. Strong background in patient education and counseling techniques.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations focused on allergy-related symptoms and conditions. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as skin prick tests, blood tests, and pulmonary function tests to identify allergens and assess severity. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans including pharmacologic therapies, immunotherapy, and lifestyle modifications. Provide patient education on allergy prevention, management strategies, and emergency response to allergic reactions. Collaborate with allergists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives related to allergy care.
