Conducting thorough patient assessments, coordinating diagnostic testing, and developing personalized care strategies Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic health issues, working collaboratively or independently based on your credentials Educating patients and their families regarding wellness, prevention, and disease management Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice Managing patient follow-ups and chronic illness care Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care Diligent documentation and record-keeping within electronic medical systems Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program Required Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York State National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or the equivalent in your specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or the ability to secure them within 90 days Attributes That Stand You Out
