Performing thorough patient examinations, ordering relevant diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses collaboratively with physicians or autonomously (based on your credentials) Providing education to patients and families on health preservation, wellness, and condition management Prescribing medications and treatments adhering to your authorized scope of practice Participating in patient follow-ups and chronic disease management Working cohesively within interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Prerequisites
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Tennessee National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) Desired Skills
