Work Location: Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • Two years of dental assisting experience • Successful completion of an accredited dental assisting program may substitute for one year of experience. NOTE: If exercising the education substitution, applicants MUST attach a copy of their dental assisting certificate to their application materials no later than the closing date listed in the announcement.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: • Possess current valid CPR and/or BLS certification • Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist License • Recent experience working in a fast-paced dental environment • Experience with clinical area preparation in a dental clinic and/or office. • Experience taking x-ray • Experience performing and developing digital dental radiographs. • Experience in sterilizing dental tools, instruments and equipment. • Experience working with students and faculty in a higher education and/or academic medical environment • Experience working with multiple doctors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of individual • Ability to prioritize and multi-task • Excellent time management skill • Excellent customer service skill • Strong oral communication skill • Knowledge of dental terminology and instrumentation • Knowledge of current dental materials, tools and instruments, and proper use and technique • Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines

The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
