Location: 30 Janet Drive #101, Savannah, GA 31405 (with optional coverage at AHI Brunswick) Schedule: Flexible, as needed—including weekdays and weekends. Lumexa Imaging, in partnership with American Health Imaging, is seeking skilled and registered MRI Technologists and CT Technologists for PRN roles in Savannah, GA. In this position, you'll deliver high-quality MRI scans while ensuring exceptional patient care and service. There's also an opportunity to provide coverage at our Brunswick location, though this is not required. CT Tech - Job Summary As a registered CT Technologist, you will perform high quality scans while providing excellent customer care and service to patients! CT Tech - Responsibilities:
Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality. Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patient Provide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients' needs and questions Position patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed. Monitor patients during exam Verify patient information and obtain comprehensive medical history including any related prior studies Obtain consent for administration of IV contrast and follow established practices to provide treatment, documentation and follow-up in the case of any adverse effects of IV contrast administration Perform venipuncture for administration of IV contrast Prepare and administer contrast media according to established practices Utilize scanner within manufacture guidelines and take appropriate action for service as needed Utilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentation Maintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patient Perform daily and monthly QA procedures on scanner Follow ALARA principles, Image Gently and Image Wisely to insure safe radiation practices. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations Initiate basic life support actions when necessary Use infection control practices Maintain punctuality and regular attendance All other duties as assigned
CT Tech - Qualifications:
Graduate of approved program for Radiological Technology ARRT and CT Registry required Current BLS/CPR training CT scanner operation and training CT anatomy and knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of operation system of CT scanner, RIS and PACS Basic proficiency with computer monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS use Organized, detail oriented, observant Calm and effective communicator Helpful, patient and sympathetic
MRI Tech - Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology. Advanced registry in MRI Experience working in a MRI Technologist position Demonstrate an adequate knowledge of anatomy CPR Certification is required IV Skills required
MRI or CT Tech - Desired Skills:
Customer service skills Time Management/Organized Extrovert Patience Versatility to juggle multiple tasks
Physical Demands of the Position:
Lifting/moving patients, positioning the patients Assisting patients on and off table and into a wheelchair, when required Sitting 50% of shift, standing 10% of shift and walking 40% of shift
