Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using criterion-referenced tests and observational techniques. Design individualized treatment strategies that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing issues. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to formulate comprehensive care plans. Provide support and education to patients and their families to enhance therapeutic progress outside the clinical environment. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic activities to maintain consistency of patient care. Keep contemporaneous records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in professional growth through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within your first month of employment. Skills
