Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across all demographics, using both standardized tests and observational assessments. Create individualized therapy plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions. Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families to forge integrated care plans. Educate families on strategies to support therapeutic progress outside of formal sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout patient journeys. Accurately document all patient interactions and treatment plans to meet state, federal, and organizational standards. Continually enhance your professional knowledge through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. CERTIFICATE of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is strongly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills
