Preparing and organizing the operating room for surgical procedures. Ensuring sterile fields are maintained and infection control protocols are followed rigorously. Handing surgical instruments and supplies efficiently to the surgical team. Managing and preparing surgical equipment effectively before, during, and after each procedure. Monitoring surgical supplies to ensure your team is fully equipped for operations. Collaborating closely with nurses and anesthesiologists to provide seamless patient care. Keeping accurate records of surgical counts and documentation. Education Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Certifications Needed:
Holding a valid CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is a must. BLS certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days post-hire. Key Skills and Attributes:
Comprehensive understanding of surgical instrumentation and procedures across various specialties. Exceptional communication skills and teamwork abilities in fast-paced environments.
