Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, directing necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized treatment strategies Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or autonomously (based on credentialing) Instructing patients and their families on preventative care, wellness, and chronic disease maintenance Prescribing medication and therapy according to the breadth of practice Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic conditions Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless and integrated care Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Background
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licensure and Certifications Required
Current Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within 90 days) Your Distinct Skills
