Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics through comprehensive standardized tools and keen observational methods. Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at meeting immediate objectives, in addition to addressing broader communication, cognitive, and swallowing issues. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing proficiency. Work collaboratively with an integrated team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive treatment approaches. Provide educational resources for patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical environments. Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout the rehabilitation process. Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols. Engage in ongoing education and collaborate with peers to keep current with the latest advancements in the field. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not yet certified by ASHA. Licenses and Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment. Preferred Skills
