Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00-07:00)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,010 - $2,120
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed
Unit: 4 Labor rooms, 4 Postpartum rooms (LDRP)
Patient Ratios: 2-1:1 LDRP; 3 couplets:1 Postpartum
Electronic Health Records: OBIX, Medhost, GUI
Qualifications / Job Requirements Active RN license with certification/licensure required to work as a Labor & Delivery nurse in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of recent LDRP/Postpartum experience (Labor & Delivery RN, Postpartum RN experience preferred)
Required Certifications (current at time of submission): ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS
Ability to float to other units as needed
All clinical staff must complete fingerprinting and background check per New Mexico state requirements
Patient-focused, team-oriented, and eager to learn - strong communication and clinical assessment skills
Compliance with facility dress code (no casual wear; scrub color not specified)
Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum women and their newborns as an LDRP/Postpartum nurse
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress in EHR systems (OBIX, Medhost, GUI)
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and follow evidence-based obstetric care practices
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (OB/GYNs, midwives, neonatology, support staff) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and newborn care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and participate in orientation and ongoing training
Float to other units as needed to support patient care and maintain safe staffing
