Preparing and organizing the operating room to facilitate surgical procedures Maintaining sterile fields and following strict infection control measures Safely handing instruments and necessary supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants Preparing and overseeing surgical equipment before, during, and after surgeries Monitoring supplies to ensure everything is ready for each operation Collaborating efficiently with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to provide seamless patient care Keeping track of surgical counts and ensuring accurate documentation Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program is necessary High school diploma or equivalent is required Certifications Needed:
A current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification is mandatory BLS certification (or the ability to acquire it within 90 days of hiring) Key Skills and Attributes:
