Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging Ensure patients are comfortable and safe during procedures, explaining each step with understanding and kindness Work in close partnership with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues Accurately document procedures and maintain organized patient records within the electronic medical system Keep abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred Certifications Required
Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred Required Skills
Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging methods and patient positioning Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach Benefits Summary
