Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations, which includes abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, articulating each process clearly and with compassion Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the production of high-grade diagnostic images Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment with diligence, promptly addressing any operational issues Meticulously document procedures and uphold patient records within the electronic medical system Remain updated on advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field Completion of a program accredited by CAAHEP in Sonography is preferred Certifications Required
Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent credential BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred Skills Needed
Strong technical expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities Able to function well both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient-centered care Benefits Overview
