Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic exams, and developing personalized care approaches Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, and chronic health conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (based on your credentialing) Taking the lead in patient and family education regarding prevention strategies, wellness, and chronic disease management Prescribing treatments and medications in accordance with your professional scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care Working cohesively with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, comprehensive care Accurately documenting all interactions and findings within electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications You Hold
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of California National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or its equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days) What Sets You Apart
