Description
Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment strategies that encompass both short-term objectives and long-term goals pertaining to communication, cognition, and swallowing. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work in synergy with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to build cohesive care plans. Educate patients and their families, ensuring they are equipped to support progress outside of your sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment journey. Maintain meticulous records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing learning through continuing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of industry trends. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
Strong understanding of evidence-based interventions for all ages, particularly in developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Superior interpersonal communication skills, effectively engaging with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams. Adaptability in therapy techniques to address diverse cultural and linguistic preferences. Excellent clinical judgment paired with strong problem-solving abilities.
