Surgical / OR Tech – Allied Health ARMStaffing is seeking skilled and dependable Surgical Technologists for travel and local contract opportunities across the U.S. As a vital member of the surgical team, you'll work alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures. Key Duties:
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and anticipating needs Maintain a sterile field and monitor aseptic techniques throughout procedures Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure accuracy Handle specimens appropriately and prepare them for laboratory analysis Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program National certification (e.g., NBSTSA or NCCT) preferred Active state licensure or eligibility, as required BLS certification Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a surgical or operating room setting Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques Ability to remain focused and calm in high-pressure situations
