IT Administrator User Support Osborne is delighted to partner with a leading manufacturing organisation in Cavan in the recruitment of anIT Administrator User Support. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing technical support across local and global operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in a similar IT support role, with previous experience within a manufacturing environment considered highly advantageous. Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary, depending on experience On-site parking Opportunity for long-term career progression Key Responsibilities Provide first-class technical support to local and global users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently. Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, operating systems, and business applications. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company security policies. Support and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN and WAN environments. Administer and maintain systems such as access control, CCTV, and timekeeping solutions. Manage incident tickets and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with users. Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, and day-to-day operational support activities. Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team. Deliver user training and promote IT best practices, cybersecurity awareness, and compliance. Liaise with external vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and maintenance requirements. Ensure adherence to company policies, IT standards, and data protection regulations. Continuously identify opportunities to improve IT services and enhance the user experience. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT support or IT administration role. Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365. Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, scanners, and other network-connected devices. Basic understanding of Active Directory and LAN environments. Experience supporting Windows Server environments. Familiarity with barcode printers and manufacturing-related IT systems. Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills. Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to support. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
